汇报提要:In this talk, we will discuss our recent work on the numerical study of the Kawarada equation. We begin with a brief review of its historical development and the well-known quenching phenomenon. Several key issues concerning this semilinear evolution equation will be addressed. Next, we present our considerations on the steady-state Kawarada equation, for which several mainstream numerical methods for nonlinear partial differential equations can be employed. Finally, we introduce a feasible technique for the numerical analysis of the Kawarada equation, covering aspects such as positivity, asymptotic behavior, monotonicity, and stability.
